The German girl Hai Peichun, met Dr. Yu-Chien Kuan the first time in a friend's party and thus walked into the latter's life, developing herself from a student with scant knowledge of China into a the daughter-in-law of a Chinese family. While China is integrating itself with the outside world, Peichun is narrowing the distance between her and this originally unfamiliar land and went through the feelings of concern, misunderstanding, fondness and tremendous love in the end. She would now tell her stories related to China and share with the audience her funny and touching experiences on this Oriental land. Dr. Kuan will attend the lecture as well, reading paragraphs of his wife's book entitled The Chinese Family of a German Daughter-in-Law (literally translated).
