The First Seminar on Public Library Exhibition Services

THE First National Seminar on Public Library Exhibition Services of China, co-organized by The Center for National Cultural Information & Resources Building and Management of Ministry of Culture of P. R. China, The National Library of China and Shanghai Library, will be held at Shanghai Library from October 25 to October 27.
It will gather 150 experts and researchers from more than 80 provincial and city public libraries of China to discuss the topic of "Exhibition Services of Public Libraries and Building the Mechanism of Public Cultural Services", in terms of broadening views of management, planning, implementation and resources sharing of exhibition service, innovating the service modes, tapping new topics and upgrading services. Six of these participants will give keynote addresses at the seminar. Along with the seminar there will be a ceremony of signature of The Agreement of Building and Sharing the Exhibition Service Resources of Public Libraries in China, The Third Exhibition of awarded works of the National Photography Contest titled "Enjoy reading", an exhibition to showcase the improvements of the National Cultural Information & Resources Sharing Project, and a show to review the ten years' development of the exhibition services of Shanghai Library.
