First 12 Ancient Books Restoration Centres Named
| The first 12 rare books restoration centers on national level were named by the Ministry of Culture, including National Library of China, Shanghai Library, Tianjin Library, Nanjing Library, Zhejiang Provincial Library, Tianyi Pavilion Museum (Ningbo), Zhongshan University Library, and China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences Library, to name just a few. The establishment of these centers is expected to facilitate future work of ancient books restoration. In line with the overall planning of the China National Center for Preservation & Conservation of Ancient Books, the centers would restore the collections as listed in the National Previous Ancient Books respectively. |
