On the morning of 15th December, 2011, a four-person delegation headed by Dr. Yoo Jae-il, Chief Librarian of National Assembly Library in Republic of Korea, paid a visit to the Shanghai Library. Mr. HE Yi, Vice Director of the Shanghai Library, received and discussed with the guests. Also being present were two exchange librarians from National Assembly Library, who are now studying in the Shanghai Library.

Dr. Yoo Jae-il aimed to explore cooperation in more dimensions with the Shanghai Library. Besides exchanging books and librarians, he expected to signed agreement with the Shanghai Library concerning the sharing of digital materials, which was agreed on by Mr. HE, who also hoped to promote cooperation between the two sides.

After the talk, the Korean delegation, accompanied by the staff from the International Cooperation Division, visited the Reading Areas of foreign publications and ancient books, and the Catalogue Hall.
