Shanghai Competitive Intelligence Forum 2011 Held

THE 2011 Shanghai Competitive Intelligence Forum (SCIF 2011) was held between October 20th and 21st at the Shanghai Library.

The forum was organised by the Shanghai Library/ISTIS (Institute of Scientific & Technical Information of Shanghai), and supported by the Shanghai Society for Scientific & Technical Information.

The forum, themed “Finding Opportunity in Emerging Industries - CI during Transition Period”, throw limelight on such hot topics as business development in the economic transition, innovation and the CI, the best entrepreneurial CI practices, and the state-of-the-art patent intelligence application.

More than 20 CI experts from home and abroad were invited to participate in the plenary meeting and the round table panels. Took place in concurrent with the forum were the sessions for “China-France CI Seminar” and “CI Practices in the Business Community”.

The two-day Forum aroused extensive attention and was attended by nearly 170 delegates from academic and research institutions, universities and colleges, the CI teams from the nationwide scientific & technical information institutes, and companies who are increasingly enthusiastic about the CI application. The Forum was also live broadcasted on the Weibo.com to interact with a wider range of audience.
