The self-service libraries set up in Expo Site based on cooperation between Shanghai Library and Putuo District Library were praised as ¡®another cultural highlight in Expo Site¡¯ by media people. 

The self-service libraries, two in Expo Village and one in Expo Information Center, hold 480 books each, which mainly introduce Chinese culture and world expositions. According to the statistics, around 100 readers per day use the libraries. An area of 150 square meters inside the Information Center is allocated to book loans for Shanghai Library as well, which is equipped with 4 computers, 30 reading seats and 3,000 books and provides library service for journalists. It receives 70 users and circulates 20 books every day.
