Annual Conference of Library Society of China Convened in Changchun

    The 2010 Annual Conference of Library Society of China (LSC) was held on July 26~28 in Changchun, where around 900 professionals from Ministry of Culture, China¡¯s Association of Science and Technology, domestic libraries, publishers and American libraries convened.

    Centering on the theme of "Enhancing Competencies and Efficiency, Promoting Learning and Creation", the annual conference made a record as one with the largest number of participants, papers, exhibitions and seminars. Apart from the regular exhibition for "Applied Technologies and Equipment for Chinese Libraries", those promoting library culture and children¡¯s reading were conducted as well, along with a series of programs celebrating the 100th anniversary of Changchun Library and the honorable title received from the Ministry of Culture by libraries in Jilin Province.
